Vote to pass a bill that amends state industrial hemp regulations and policies.

Highlights:

• Amends various state industrial hemp farming regulations and agricultural policies (Sec. 1).

• Requires individuals to attain a valid hemp extract registration card in order to legally farm hemp and hemp extracts in the state or be subject to penalty (Sec. 1).

• Defines “hemp extract” as an extract from a cannabis plant or a mixture or preparation containing cannabis plant material that (Sec. 1):

• Is composed of no more than 3/10 percent tetrahydrocannabinol by weight;

• Composed of at least 5% cannabidiol by weight; and

• Contains no other psychoactive substance.

• Specifies that this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 1).
