Title: Reduces State Spending and the Number of Ineligible Individuals Receiving Public Benefits
Vote to pass a bill that reduces the number of ineligible individuals receiving public benefits and reduce state spending.
Reduces the number of ineligible individuals receiving public benefits and decreases state spending (Sec. 2-5).
Prohibits the DHS from using pre-populated forms or automatically renewing the eligibility of a recipient under the BadgerCare Plus program and requires they determine eligibility every 6 months (Sec. 2-5).
Requires DHS enter data sharing agreements with any agency that maintains a database of financial or personal information of an applicant for public assistance (Sec. 2-5).
Requires DHS to promptly remove from BadgerCare eligibility any individual enrolled in the program and determined to be ineligible (Sec. 2-5).
Specifies that this bill shall take effect immediately upon passage and approval by the governor (Sec. 2-5).
