Title: Prohibits Local Ordinances Against Gas Powered Leaf Blowers

  • Requires that local prohibitions and regulations regarding the the use, disposition, or sale of gasoline-powered leaf blowers do not create differing standards from any other gasoline-powered, electric, or similar such equipment or any other type of leaf blower (Sec. 2). 

  • Requires that the imposition of any restriction, fee imposition, or taxation at the retail, manufacturer, or distributor setting does not create differing standards between a gasoline-powered leaf blower and any other type of leaf blower (Sec. 2). 

  • Requires that nothing in this code prohibit or limit any county or municipal program from encouraging the use of other types of leaf-blowers than the gasoline-powered leaf blower (Sec. 2). 

  • Defines a “gasoline-powered leaf blower” as any leaf blower that is powered by a 2-stroke or 4-stroke engine and uses as fuel gasoline or a blend of gasoline and oil (Sec. 2).
