Title: Amends State Abortion Laws
Vote to concur with senate amendments and pass a bill that amends state abortion laws.
Requires abortions be performed in a hospital, with certain exceptions (Sec. 1).
Prohibits licensing abortion clinics after May 2, 2023 but allows licensing of certain clinics for providing abortions if the clinic meets certain standards (Sec. 2).
Amends previous law to remove certain references to abortion clinics (Sec. 4).
Establishes the act of inducing or performing an abortion contrary to statutory requirements as unprofessional conduct for physicians and other health care workers (Sec. 7).
Amends provisions that determine what constitutes a medical emergency in relation to an abortion and amends the conditions under which an abortion may be performed to protect the life of health of the pregnant individual (Sec. 16).
Prohibits the ability to recieve an abortion due to rape or incest after 18 weeks pregnancy and specifies physicians or medical professionals found to have violated as guilty of a second degree felony (Sec.16).
Amends language related to medical defects of a fetus (Sec. 17).
Repeals previous state statute that established an abortion prohibition after 18 weeks to allow for emergency situations necessary to save the life of the pregnant individual (Sec. 17).
Requires a physician to in cases of diagnosis of fetal abnormality, give notice of the availability of perniatl hospice and perniatal palliative care services as an alternative to abortion (Sec. 17).
Requires equal treatment and medical options for minors who become pregnant and individuals who become pregnant as the result of rape or incest (Sec. 20).
Establishes state regulations for abortion drugs and specifies the act of pescribing abortion drugs as a criminal offense (Sec. 27).
