Vote to pass a bill that prohibits local governments from requiring unisex multiple-occupancy restrooms.

Highlights:

• Prohibits any public entity or political subdivision of the state of Idaho from requiring a contractor engaged in public works construction to provide a multiple-occupancy restroom, shower facility, or changing room that is owned by or under control of the contractor on any basis other than biological sex (Sec. 1).

• Defines “biological sex” as the physical condition of being male or female as stated on a person’s birth certificate (Sec. 1).

• Specifies that this bill shall take effect beginning July 1, 2023 (Sec. 2).
