Vote to pass a bill that requires a University of Nebraska health assessment over ethanol production.

Highlights:

• Requires the University of Nebraska to conduct assessments of the environmental and human health effects of toxic chemicals (Sec. 3).

• Requires that the aforementioned assessment document the following, including (Sec. 3):

• An evaluation of the adverse long-term environmental, ecological, and human health effects of the chemicals released during; and

• The production of ethanol made from grain or seed treated with pesticides; and

• The storage of byproducts created by production of ethanol made from grain or seed treated with pesticide.

• An assessment of the effects of polluted ground water, soil, and air relating to any ethanol production facility.
