Vote to pass a bill that amends laws and provisions related to commercially exploited children.

Highlights:

• Defines “receiving cener” as a secured facility tat operates 24/7 each week to provide specialized inpatient and outpatient services to commercially sexually exploited children (Sec. 1.2).

• Amends laws and provisions related to commercially exploited children and receiving centers to specify that each receiving center provide the following services, including (Sec. 1.4):

• Mental health triage;

• Assessment of basic needs;

• Assessment of medical needs;

• Psychiatric evaluation;

• Referral to detoxification;

• Short-term placement;

• Mobile crisis response;

• Academic support; and

• Preventive services for children who are at risk of commercial sexual exploitation

• Specifies that operators of recieivng centers that fail to hold a valid license shall be guilty of a misdemeanor (Sec. 1.7).
