Title: Authorizes Community Colleges Offer Four-Year Degree Programs
Vote to pass a bill that amends the definition of "community college," and authorizes community colleges to offer four-year degree programs.
Defines “community college” as an educational institution that is operated by a district board and provides a program of not more than 4 years’ training beyond the grade 12 of high school (Sec 1).
Authorizes community colleges to offer 4-year baccalaureate degrees that are accredited by a regional agency approved by the U.S. Department of Education (Sec 2).
