Title: Authorizes Criminal Records Expungement for Certain Crimes
Vote to pass a bill that authorizes criminal records expungement for certain crimes.
Requires any non-public records for those who have had a conviction expunged will be maintained (Sec. 1).
Prohibits an expungement from being used to seek resentencing in another case in which the expunged record was used to determine sentencing (Sec. 1).
Authorizes those who are displeased with a court ruling on an expungement application to file an appeal or seek a rehearing under the applicable rules of the court (Sec. 1).
Specifies that the expungement of a conviction does not entitle the applicant to the return of any fines, costs, fees, or property forfeited as a result of the conviction (Sec. 1).
