Title: Updates Child Support Requirements
Vote to pass a bill that updates child support payment laws.
Establishes new economic income tables used to calculate child support payments (Sec. 1).
Specifies new costs for healthcare coverage and medical expenses (Sec. 1).
Establishes a self sufficiency reserve (Sec. 1).
Requires a standard deduction when a parent has multiple children (Sec. 1).
Requires shared costs of child care regarding income with the following stipulations (Sec. 1):
Payment allowing parent to work or maintain involvement in employment activities deemed necessary;
Shall be verified as credible evidence by a court or childcare agency;
Exclude any reimbursed or subsidized childcare costs; and
Limits the allowable credit for joint childhood expenses at the statewide average.
Establishes a parenting time adjustment to standard child support orders to account for the time a parent spends with a non-custodial child (Sec. 1).
Requires monthly $80 payment for all children subject to childcare order (Sec. 1).
Specifies child care payment orders for families with a combined income of up to $300,000 (Sec. 1).
Requires an evaluation of childcare order at least once every 4 years by the department of job and family services (Sec. 1).
