Title: Increases the Use of Hospital Admission Fees
Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that increases the use of $10 hospital admissions fees in order to raise revenues for graduate medical studies.
Establishes a $10 fee on admission to any general acute care hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, and long term acute care hospitals (Sec. 7).
Specifies that $5 per admission shall be used by the department to carry out its duties accordingly (Sec. 7).
Specifies that $5 per admission shall be used by the department to carry out administrative costs related to health planning (Sec. 7).
Appropriates $24,285,714 from the General Fund for Safety Net Graduate Medical Education (Sec. 7).
