Title: Prohibits Abortion After 15 Weeks of Pregnancy
Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that prohibits performing an abortion on an individual who has been pregnant for more than 15 weeks.
Prohibits a physician from performing an abortion on an individual who has been pregnant for more than 15 weeks except in medical emergencies or in cases of a severe fetal abnormality (Sec. 1).
Defines “severe fetal abnormality” as a “life-threatening physical condition that, in reasonable medical judgement, regardless of the provision of life-saving medical treatment, is incompatible with life outside the womb” (Sec. 1).
Requires a suspended or revoked medical license for any physician who intentionally or knowingly violates this prohibition (Sec. 1).
Requires physicians who perform an abortion on an individual who has been pregnant for at least 15 weeks to submit a report within 15 days to the state’s health department specifying the date, method used, and reason for the procedure (Sec. 1).
Prohibits the report from disclosing the name of the individual upon whom an abortion was performed (Sec. 1).
