Highlights:

 

  • Authorizes an individual who is at least 18 years of age but less than 21 years of age to be eligible for a permit to carry a concealed firearm if the person provides proof that he or she (Sec. 1):

    • Is a member of the Armed Forces of the United States, a reserve component thereof or the National Guard; or

    • Was discharged or released from service therein under honorable conditions.

  • Requires a sheriff to deny an application for a permit or revoke an existing permit if the sheriff determines that the applicant or permittee has been discharged or released under conditions other than honorable conditions and is less than 21 years of age (Sec. 1).
