Vote to concur with Senate amendments and pass a bill that establishes provisions related to gender-based bathroom use and prohibits local entities from amending or enacting their own regulations or ordinances related to bathroom use.

Highlights:

• Prohibits state agencies, boards, offices, departments, institutions, branches of government, including the University of North Carolina and the North Carolina Community College System, and political subdivisions of the State, including local boards of education, from regulating policy related to the access of multiple-occupancy restrooms, showers, or changing facilities, except in accordance with an act of the General Assembly (Sec. 2).

• Prohibits local government from amending any ordinance or regulation related to private employment practices or public accommodations (Sec. 3).

• Specifies that this act is effective when it becomes law (Sec. 4).
